24/7

24/7 is what we call our Sunday evening cell groups for young people who are upper school age. These groups are a time for people to learn, discuss, reflect and have fun. Each evening we focus on a topic and take part in activities related to that topic, as well as having some time to chat about our experiences to do with that.

A typical evening at 24/7 would involve:
  • Everyone meeting together for notices.
  • Splitting into smaller groups of 5-10 people to do activities, read, chat and pray. This time is normally led by one or two of those in the small group.
  • Everyone joining back together again for a social time (usualy about an hour), where we have food and games, or sometimes just sit and chat. Often we visit other people's houses for this time.
Our small group time is based on cell group principles, and the four 'W's, Welcome, Worship, Word and Witness. For more info about cell group principles and training, visit Cell UK.

From time to time, 24/7 also go to extra activities and socials outside of regular meetings. Recent examples are the embedded meeting (a joint youth service between local churches), rock climbing at a local outdoor centre and a games night and sleepover.
